Hands on Nights are back!!!

 In Hands on Nights

14 Sept – HANDS ON NIGHT

Hopefully by now you will have seen an email from the Secretary, read the previous news post, seen the Club Facebook or Instagram posts or heard about it whilst attending our online Zoom meetings that Hands on Nights are back from the 14 Sept 2021!!  Anyone who doesn’t do computers, should get a letter by post telling them about the return of our Hands on Nights.  As you can gather, we want to get the news out there by whatever means we can to all current members and those who for whatever reason decided not to re-join the Club this year to hopefully encourage them back.  Please spread the word.  We are excited about getting back in the Hall for our first Hands on Night and we want to see you there.

It is hard to remember our last live ‘hands on’ in the hall, but we are hoping to make new memories with those we haven’t seen for so long. For those who have supported the Club by continuing their membership over 2021, a big THANK YOU.  For those who for whatever reason you weren’t able to, please come back and see us, even if you just pop in and say hello.  A Club is it’s members and we need you!

There will however be a need to ensure the Health and Safety of all our members, especially those amongst us who are vulnerable, we would therefore request that attendees be fully vaccinated against Covid and take note of the following guidelines:

“Hands on Sessions” will start on the 14th September 2021, and then continue on the 2nd Tuesday of the month until the end of the year when the Covid situation will be reviewed.

Meeting times will be 07:00pm to 09:30pm, the hall will be open to attendees from 06:45pm.

Face Masks are to be worn at all times by attendees inside the hall, (evidence of exemption from wearing a mask to be displayed).

We ask attendees to use the hand sanitisers when moving between different areas of the hall.

Committee members will be monitoring that Health & Safety measures are being followed, and we ask attendees to respect the wellbeing of all.

The shop will also be open, so prime time to top up on all your Woodturning supplies.  We are still limiting the number of people within the shop area to one customer at a time and wear a mask.

We hope that you appreciate the need for caution and look forward to seeing you.

Please remember that everything you will see set up for the night has to be cleared away at the end and the place left clean and tidy. So as they say, many hands make light work, so please, lets start these nights as we mean to go on and offer to help in whatever way you physically can and don’t just leave it all up to the Committee or the few members that usually help out.  Thanks.
