Join in with our Zoom Meetings, 2020 Programme and Club Shop Opening Dates

In Club Nights, Notices, Online Demos, Workshop Nights

If we have not already convinced you to come and join us in the Zoom meetings, please have a rethink, as you are seriously missing out. Lincolnshire Wolds Woodturning Association is now leading the way in providing a continued program of woodturning to our members. The hope is that we will all be able to meet again face to face, however, at the moment we are doing everything we can to maintain the interest of existing and new members. Despite the situation, we are thrilled to be still enrolling new members to the Club and some from other countries. We have lined up some excellent online demonstrators and recently arranged some guest speakers to come along to our workshop activity nights as detailed below.

We really want you to be a part of it. So, if you are having technical difficulties or simply do not have a clue on what it is or how to use Zoom, contact us, we might be able to help. We can even do a practice zoom meeting with just you, to talk you through it and show you want you need to know to get the best out of the meetings. Once you try it, you will see it’s not as difficult as you thought.  Check out our Zoom Information page.

A gentle reminder that if you are reading this and have let your membership lapse, but want to join in our interactive demos, you need to be a paid up member, costing you the very small fee of £15. For this year only, there is nothing extra to pay on the door, so to speak, to attend the meetings. You still have plenty of time to sort it out. Contact our Membership Secretary by using the form on the Contact page and select Membership Enquiry.  Once joined, we will sort out getting the meeting invites sent out to you.

Following the success of our online workshop nights and online demos by Chris Parker and Pat Carroll, we are pleased to announce our next demo is an evening online with Stewart Furini on the 25 Aug 20, EXCLUSIVE, to our membership.  Stewart is well known in the south of England, where he is famous for his colourful creations, what many don’t realise that he has to be an accomplished Woodturner to create his works of art.

Our next Workshop Activity night is on the 11 Aug starting at 7pm. We invited Clive Brooks from Robert Sorby to attend the meeting and answer questions on their tools and the Pro Edge Sharpening System, so please get your questions ready.

For your diary here are the Program Details until the end of 2020 together with the dates and times that Mick will be opening the Club Shop.
