30 Jul 19 – Andrew Hall Demo and Competition Table Results
ANDREW HALL DEMO
As we promised, an excellent evenings demonstration plus entertainment from Andrew Hall, it was surprising how much he managed to cram into his allotted time. Starting with a warm up exercise making a full sized bird box and up cycling a plastic tube into the bargain. This was then followed by a lidded egg bowl and then popped in a small goblet shaped egg cup to finish off with. The evening then ended with a song, accompanied on the wine box “blues guitar” and backed by a packed audience.
The audience came from far and wide and included members from other clubs and new visitors to us. A big thank you to everyone, especially Andrew who made it a great evening. We were treated to a full display of Andrew’s previous work including his world famous hats and bowl guitars.

COMPETITION RESULTS
We had entries in all three classes for the competition table, although, since the new rules on the number of entries required (3 minimum) no points were gained in the Novice and Club Class. This is to prevent individuals being promoted up the classes too soon by default wins. A great display of high standard work and good to see previously demonstrated items being replicated. Congratulations to the winners.
Novice Class Winners
1st Andrew Harris, 2nd Nick Windley

Club Class Winners
1st Alan Buckle, 2nd Mick Close

Open Class Winners
1st Peter Barrack, 2nd Tony Cooke and 3rd Chris Fisher & Ric Sutherland
