Christmas Function and Turning Competition Results
Christmas Function
On the 11 Dec 18, we held our Christmas social function at The Royal Oak ‘The Splash’ at Little Cawthorpe, near Louth. We had a good attendance, but numbers were down on last year, so for 2019, lets see if we can get more of our members attending these social functions and supporting the Club. We are always open to suggestions on such events and possible venues, so let us know your thoughts.
This year we changed the format and swapped the quiz for a singer, but you’ll be pleased to know it wasn’t one of us lot doing the singing, we had Jackie to entertain us. The meal was good as usual and the raffle did fantastically raising another £165 for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.
The Christmas Turning Competition was not very well supported, but the items entered were of the high standard that we have become accustom to. The table was judged by Partners and I am pleased to announce:
1st Place – John Liles – Rotating decoration.
2nd Place – Tony Cooke – Large Snowman (concealing a bottle) and glasses holder.
3rd Place – Peter Hallam – Christmas Bauble and Mick Close – Snowman.
Congratulations to you all.
Due to the poor lighting at the venue we struggled to get some good shots, but Chris captured the moment the best he could. Well done Chris.
I hope you have had a very Merry Christmas and have a great New Year. I look forward to seeing you all at the first Hands on night on the 8 Jan 19 and then again at the AGM on the 29 Jan 19.

Blimey we did well on the raffle didn’t we.
A really good evening, but still missed you Chris!
