Sue Harker Demo and Competition Results – 31 Jul 18

Sorry for the delay in posting this, but finally found time to get it done.  We welcomed the very talented Sue Harker back to give the very well attended meeting an excellent demonstration.  Not only did we see a Clam Shell Box being made and finished, she went on to make and finish, an Earring Stand, Wine Bottle Coaster and a finished the night off with an acrylic Pendant.  So we can safely say we got our monies worth.

At the start of the evening, Geoff, our Chairman, presented John Liles with a framed copy of a photo of him presenting the shells he had made for the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre.

The competition table had an excellent selection of work which we would like to congratulate the following winners of each class:

Novice Class – 1st Malcolm Willey, 2nd Alan Clift, 3rd Nick Windley

Club Class – 1st Andy Peacock

Open Class – 1st Peter Hallam, 2nd Andi Marshall & Tony Cooke, 3rd Chris Fisher, Stuart Lowe and Barry Teague.

Don’t forget the next Hands on Night on the 14th Aug 18 and if you have any jumble to bring along to our collection point in support of the Air Ambulance that would be great.
