Our grateful thanks must go to John Liles for the excellent replicas of the Shells he produced for the Lincolnshire Aviation museum. Phillip Panton was so impressed that he has upgraded his prize for the Air Ambulance. He is now giving a Lancaster tour plus two extra family tickets. Thanks Martin for negotiating the deal. Martin has also acquired an A3 size print of the BB Memorial Flight signed by all crew and technicians which we will have framed.
We already have some very good prizes for our grand draw in aid of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance which will take place at the Midlands Woodworking Show, Newark Showground in March 2019, but we need more prizes, so why not use your local contacts to see if they will help. We have some flyers which you may find useful – these are available from the desk.
Jay is still missing a few signatures for the updated Data Protection Forms. Hopefully Jay will sort this on Tuesday Evening. Would members please wear their name badges as this will help in
many ways including any medical emergency? This does not apply to Committee members with
existing identity, or members wearing T-shirts etc. with their names embroidered. Members may leave name badges at the desk if they prefer and collect them on entry each meeting.
The in-house training day has been moved to Oct/Nov; date to be arranged.
The First Aid training has been cancelled for the present due to lack of interest.
The AWGB are holding a 2018 Club Collaboration Competition in which a minimum of five members
work as a team. This year’s subject is a Tractor. Do we have members interested? Judging is at the AWGB Seminar 5/7 October.
The Worshipful Company of Turners is holding an Open competition ‘100th Anniversary of Armistice’ Judging Mon. 25th November. If anyone is interested in either competition there will be printed information available from the desk.
Our Club Shop is now a collection point for discarded clothing, bedding, shoes and handbags!  This is in aid of the Air Ambulance who receive £400 per ton, so it can make a valuable
contribution.
Don’t forget to visit our club shop for a full range of finishing products and much, much more. Mick is continuing to add new products all the time.
Our guest turner for the June 26th
meeting is Steve Giles.
Look forward to seeing you then, Geoff.
