The Midlands Woodworking and Power Tool Show – 23 – 24 Mar 18
The Midlands Woodworking and Power Tool Show held on the Newark Showground this weekend, has hosted yet another fantastic event attracting thousands of people over the two days.
This is the third year we have had a stand to show off to the public who we are and what we do. We thought last year the stand looked great and we had a very successful show, well the small band of guys from the Club who have put in a great deal of time, thought and effort have excelled themselves again and have put together the best looking stand yet. The photos really don’t do it the justice it deserves.
A BIG THANK YOU and well done from all the members to all those involved that gave up their time to set up on the Thursday, man the stand over the Friday and Saturday and then take it all down after a long busy day.
The exhibit items kindly provided by our members have shown some amazing skills and such a wide range of what can be done and the quality of the work was simply stunning. The club received so many compliments, kind remarks and interest from the public over the two days which made it all worthwhile. This event has again promoted the club in our area to potential new members and showed off the skills and knowledge of all those who demonstrated woodturning, colouring and pyrography on the stand over the two days. This event has also helped raise the awareness of our sponsored charity, the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, who we are continuing to support for another year.
We will have another exciting announcement soon about our plans for further fund raising, so keep an eye out.
