Coningsby Young Farmers Woodturning Experience

On the 23rd January 18, saw an extra meeting added to our calendar.  A special invitation to the Coningsby Young Farmers Club members who came along to see what we get up to. It was a really good evening, enjoyed by both groups old and young. Several from the YFC managed to complete items to take away from the night; including pens, a small bud vase and some useful garden dibbers. Barry brought along some of his hats and musical instruments, plus a selection of pens to show what can be done on a lathe.  A big thank you goes out to the Turners who made the night a success and all the Young Farmers Group who made it worthwhile.

Our next meeting, is the AGM on the 30th Jan with a presentation by volunteers from the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance when we will be handing over our donation from our 2017 fund raising.  Don’t forget the Turning of the Year competition, which has to be something made between last year’s AGM and this year’ AGM.  You can enter up to three pieces with a chance to win cash prizes and the exclusive trophy.  The competition this year is kindly being judged by a member of the North Lincolnshire Woodturning Association. Please support this evening as its your club and boring as it may seem, the AGM is important to keep the club going.  See you all there.
