Christmas Party and Turning Competition

Sorry for the delay in posting this, where has the time gone.  We held another successful Christmas Party at The Splash where we had a great turnout and a fantastic food.  The Christmas turning competition was not particularly well supported in the number of entries, but what was entered were stunning.  Congratulations to Ian Flack (main picture) in getting first place with his turned nativity scene, closely followed by Ric Sutherland and Tony Cooke.

Our Seasonal raffle, in aid of The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, raised an extra £200 towards this years total; this will be presented at the AGM in January when volunteers from the air Ambulance will come to the club and tell us about the great work the team does to keep the helicopter in the air, saving lives.

Thanks were given to Vic and Pauline Atkinson for the generosity they have shown to the club in helping us to develop the club shop.  As a token of our appreciation to them both Vic has been made President and Honorary life member, gifts and flowers were presented to them both, with a great big thank you.
