The Midlands Woodworking and Power Tool Show 2017 – Our Best Yet!

 In Club Events

We had a bigger and better stand at The Midlands Woodworking and Power Tool Show, Newark Showground, Nottingham on the 24th & 25th March 2017.

This was the second time we have had a stand at the show and we are proud of what we put together.  There was a fantastic selection of members work on this years bigger and better stand.  Thanks to John Liles for making some excellent display stands which ensured the members work was shown off at its best and thanks to Peter Hallam for the use of his van to get it all there and back safely.  We had lots of interest in the Blues Bowl guitars that Peter Hallam and Barry Teague had made during their course with Andrew Hall.  We had loads of visitors to the stand and hopefully several will come and visit our club one day.  Everyone visiting our stand was made welcome to come in for a chat or just admire the work.  Chris, Peter and John were on hand giving a live demonstration over the weekend which went down great with the visitors.  Thanks to all those that helped prior to the event to organise it and help to set up, run and clear away at the end.  Although we are obviously bias, but it has to be said we did have the best stand there so can’t wait till next year to see what we can come up with to top this year.   Here are some photos taken during the event.
